I've been waiting to see this one in print. The Agon's very own Abe Khan has published an excellent rhetorical study of baseball pioneer Curt Flood, called Curt Flood in the Media: Baseball, Race, and the Demise of the Activist Athlete. It is must reading not only for those interested in sports media and the cultural study of sport, but also for those seeking to understand the rhetorical dimensions of sport. I can't wait to find an opportunity to assign this to students.
Congratulations, Abe!

Thanks for the well-wishes, Mike! I've been grinning since the day it arrived in my hands. And, it's kindle-ready on Amazon, too!
I am adding it to my stack of "must read" items, Abe! Congrats!!!
